Trilogy by Shea Homes is the premiere 55+ retirement community in the greater Seattle area. The modern, one-level homes are grouped in 10 attractive neighborhoods separated by generous greenbelts of towering cedar and fir trees. The lodge is the heart of the community as was very active on a late Saturday morning during my visit. Residents could be found in the Cyber Cafe, a classical musical group was practicing, some grandkids could be found in the swimming pool, several members were getting their morning workouts in at the health club, and a well-attended lecture about nutrition was in progress. Amenities of the lodge include:

The golf course wends its way through the forest of towering cedar and fir trees, among ponds and water features, and taking advantage of fine Cascade Mountain views. It’s a challenging, championship course designed by well-regarded golf course architect, Gary Panks. The golf course has its own lodge and restaurant near the entrance to Trilogy.

Homes range in size from 1,295 to 3,360 square feet. Most have 2 bedrooms, except for the very largest. Resale prices at this time of writing range from $250,000 to $899,000. Dues are reasonable at $198 per month.
